Whether you’re a lover of hearty stir-fried dishes or crave the fresh sensations of sushi, CoCo offers an exceptional dining experience.

As you enter, you’ll immediately notice the clean and spacious environment that has garnered praise from many diners. Customer 'Crys R.' aptly describes it as "the BEST Mongolian BBQ in Redding," highlighting the restaurant's commitment to cleanliness and freshness. The spacious layout provides a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for both casual lunches and special gatherings.

The heart of CoCo’s allure lies in its Mongolian BBQ options. Guests can enjoy a create-your-own experience, selecting from an array of fresh ingredients, including a variety of vegetables, proteins, and sauces. One customer noted the generous selection of veggies, appreciating the balance of flavor and freshness. However, there is room for improvement regarding some ingredient freshness which diners have pointed out, such as bean sprouts and mini corn. CoCo Mongolian Grill & Sushi - A Clean, Spacious Gem with Room for Improvement My dad, wife, and I visited CoCo Mongolian BBQ in Redding for lunch right when they opened today at 11 AM. It was quiet with no other customers yet, which made for a great, relaxed experience. The restaurant itself is spacious and exceptionally clean. The stations for Mongolian BBQ fixings and the chefs' area were well-stocked and spotless. The staff were super friendly, and parking was plentiful--5 stars for all of these aspects. My dad and I opted for the Mongolian BBQ. The food was delicious, but I did notice a couple of items (like the sprouts and mini corn) didn't appear very fresh. I steered my dad away from those, but overall, the meal was still enjoyable. My wife ordered the T1 Hungry Tempura Special Roll. She said it was good, though not the freshest sushi she's had. A bit more freshness would've taken it to the next level. She gave it a solid 4/5 stars. One suggestion I have is for the restaurant to create a menu or guide with sauce combinations for the Mongolian BBQ. Right now, the options are basically "spicy" or "not spicy," which left me a bit lost on what sauce combo to use. A simple guide with different flavor profiles would be incredibly helpful and enhance the experience. All in all, we'd definitely return. With a little more attention to freshness and a sauce guide, this place could be even better!

Wow, I thought the restaurant staff was so kind, I came in close to closing, and got the Mongolian bbq (which had lots of veggies to choose from I thought!), and they still served me and were so nice about it, and it seemed like a good deal all you can eat I think? &I thought they had lots of veggies which I really appreciate, you can put whatever you like in it and choose your sauces& spices &they have tofu too but they also have chicken and stuff, I thought it seemed like a good deal and you can get like whatever you want& just I thought they were so nice, consider trying this place~!

Super mind staff and a nice interior, I liked how welcoming everyone was regardless of their position. Definitely worth it. Miso Soup - 7/10 Umami , I love how light it feels as well. The color was a bit cloudy, but I don't know how normal that is. Calamari - 6/10 Seemed to be frozen and it looked like fishsticks, not that good, but not offensive. Mystery Roll - 8/10 On the right Crunchy and soft, my girlfriend's favorite. The mango added a nice balance between sweetness and umami, definitely worth the purchase and visit alone. For not being in the coast the fish seemed fresh and didn't overpower the dish. The eel sauce was a nice yummy touch. Red Dragon Roll - 7/10 On the left Seemed to have breadcrumbs on top that provided a nice textural difference. Not a bad sushi, had a nice crab filling, just preferred the mystery roll.

Food was amazing, service was amazing, ambience was great. CoCo Mongolian Grill & Sushi ticked all of the boxes for us today. We have been craving sushi ever since we moved to Redding in March and this was the first place we tried. Large variety of rolls and appetizers, fair prices, as well as a nicely varied cocktail selection. 10/10, would recommend.

Normally I don't go to sushi places where there's not an all you can eat option, well, cause the prices add up too fast otherwise. But this time I was invited to come here so it's all good as I'm not paying. The inside is all very nice and clean and the service was just fine. We ordered a few rolls to try. I just let my host do all the ordering since he's been here before. The rolls arrived in the order we ordered. I hate when all the food all arrives at the same time, the you can't concentrate on each food item. The rolls all tasted good in a sort of American sushi roll kinda way. It was a bit hard to tell what exactly fish was in each roll with all the other stuff topping the pieces and the sauces used as well. All in all a decent experience.

Stopped here for lunch while on the road. They had sushi and a Mongolian BBQ option. (Be aware Mongolian BBQ lunch is not all you can eat; it's only one trip.) The sushi was fine. There was teriyaki sauce on all the rolls. I could've used a little variety. The Mongolian BBQ was fine too, but kinda missed the point, which is to get a nice, hot sear on the food. It was all just sort of cooked, and a lot of water was added as it was cooking, resulting in more or less steaming the food. All in all, the people there were really nice and welcoming. They offered to provide soup to the kids though we did not order it. The service was friendly.
